A+ Schools of Excellence Program
This is the only statewide public school recognition program that identifies and celebrates excellence in PreK through 12th grade education. The A+ Program brings to light the positive stories and successes in public schools every day. The program is an amazing catalyst for bringing together a school and its surrounding community by giving public recognition to some of Arizona's outstanding public schools. A+ schools serve as models of success statewide and nationwide.
Teacher of the Year Program
This is the only statewide program that spotlights the contributions of Arizona’s teachers. The program annually recognizes ten exceptionally skilled and dedicated pre-kindergarten through 12th grade public school teachers. Our Teacher of the Year becomes Arizona’s candidate for National Teacher of the Year.

Arizona Spelling Bee/Bee Backer Sponsorship
This is an event that challenges children in grades K-8 to utilize their spelling and phonetic skills in a competitive environment. The top 27 spellers in the state compete in the Arizona Spelling Bee to determine who will represent Arizona in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.
Your contribution of $250 or more will designate you as a Bee Backer with the following benefits:

Your name inclusion on back of Spelling Bee t-shirt worn by contestants at the Bee
Your name recognition in Spelling Bee program distributed on the day of the Bee

Polly Rosenbaum Writing Contest
Named for Polly Rosenbaum, a former Arizona State Representative and teacher, this creative writing contest is open to students in grades 7 through 12. Each year the Arizona Educational Foundation and "Polly" corporate sponsor APS establish a theme for the contest.
Principals’ Leadership Academy
The PLAA was founded in response to a shared belief by the AEF, Argosy University and numerous public school districts in Arizona that aspiring, assistant and 1st & 2nd year principals will benefit from and become stronger leaders of 21st century schools through a leadership training program that includes the following 5 Cs: Cohort, Collegiality, Continuity, Community, and Collaboration. The PLAA effectively supports new principals in Arizona as they lead their communities to excellence and prepare their students for success in the 21st century.
SUPPORTING PARTNER - $2,500
The Arizona Educational Foundation invites you to become a SUPPORTING PARTNER of the organization. Your $2,500 contribution will benefit the following programs:
Teacher of the Year ($1,000) – supports Arizona’s top 5 teachers – the Teacher of the Year and four Ambassadors for Excellence – as they travel throughout Arizona making approximately 100 presentations annually to civic, educational, business and governmental organizations advocating for excellence in education and the teaching profession.
Principals’ Leadership Academy of Arizona ($1,000) – provides scholarships to new and aspiring principals throughout Arizona in support of their efforts to effectively lead their schools to excellence.
A+ Exemplary Programs ($250) – recognizes and rewards schools for outstanding programs that successfully meet the needs of a school’s unique population.
Arizona Spelling Bee ($250) – brings together 27 finalists from every county in Arizona to vie for a spot in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
