A+ Exemplary Programs Award
The AEF A+ Exemplary Programs Award was created by the Arizona Educational Foundation in 2004 to identify and recognize programs that exemplify educational excellence in schools throughout Arizona.
The Programs’ purpose is threefold: identify and give public recognition to outstanding programs in Arizona’s public schools; make available a framework of key criteria for program effectiveness that can serve as a basis for participatory self-assessment and planning in schools; and facilitate communication and sharing of outstanding programs within and among schools based on common criteria related to success. Applicant schools’ programs are recognized for the following: a superior ability to go above and beyond what might be expected in order to meet the needs of a school’s population; producing measurable, concrete results and outcomes; innovation and/or creativity; sustainability; potential for replication; and an ability to demonstrate an improved school culture and climate and/or improved student achievement. Schools are limited to one application per academic year. The award includes $100 and a plaque.
