ABOUT THE 2023 ARIZONA SPELLING BEE
Arizona’s State Spelling Bee is coordinated by Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF), and is the highest level of Spelling Bee competition within the state. Arizona has one of the largest Spelling Bee participation rates in the nation, with 484,122 students competing this year from public, private, parochial and homeschools statewide.
For the two students who place first and second place in the State Spelling Bee, AEF supports travel for the students and their chaperones to represent Arizona as official champions in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in National Harbor, Maryland.
Throughout the month leading up to the Bee, AEF® will be featuring each of the 27 Arizona State Spelling Bee Finalists on Facebook and Instagram from across Arizona who have spelled their way to the Arizona State Spelling Bee Championship! Please help us celebrate and cheer them on!
