AEF'S TAKE YOUR LEGISLATOR TO SCHOOL EMPOWERS EDUCATORS AND SPARKS AWARENESS
PHOENIX, Ariz., July 19, 2024 - The Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF®) delighted to share the inspiring journey of our Take Your Legislator to School (TYLTS) program as we eagerly anticipate the 2024-2025 academic year.
What sets TYLTS apart? This unique program encourages dialogue between decision-makers and students.
Last Year's Success
Last year was a testament to the power of these connections. Legislators stepped into classrooms and learned from and with educators and students alike. These visits sparked dynamic conversations, mutual understanding, and a shared commitment to Arizona's educational future. From the bustling halls of Laveen Elementary School to the vibrant Art classroom of Ms. Shillig in Paradise Valley, legislators experienced firsthand the dedication and innovation of Arizona's educators.
Each visit underscores the importance of collaborative dialogue and highlights the remarkable achievements happening in our classrooms every day.
In October 2023, Representative Jennifer Pawlik visited the classroom of Ms. Erica Roberts, M.Ed. at Hartford Sylvia Encinas Elementary School, Chandler Unified School District.
"Take Your Legislator to School Day is an incredible opportunity to walk in the shoes of Arizona educators. By spending a day in the school we can get a true sense of the successes and the challenges faced by today's teachers and students."
- Representative Pawlik | District 13, House - Chandler
