PHOENIX, Ariz., August XX, 2024 - The Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF®) is pleased to announce Jeremy Nelson, Chief Marketing Officer at Desert Financial Credit Union will join the AEF Board of Directors.
As Chief Marketing Officer for Desert Financial, Jeremy Nelson focuses on building a strong brand that supports financial education and well-being for the Arizona community. Building on the credit union’s legacy that began over 85 years ago founded by teachers. A veteran of the Credit Union industry Jeremy has over 30 years working with credit unions and 20 years working in marketing leadership, building brands, and creating meaningful marketing campaigns to support financial products and services. Prior to moving to Arizona Jeremy received both an Undergraduate degree in Business Management and an MBA from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City Utah.
Jeremy lives in Mesa with his wife Angie and their three daughters. He is passionate about supporting the community, giving back, and supporting educational efforts. He enjoys playing pickle ball, skiing, and traveling with his family.
Nelson will play an integral role in providing governance and advancing AEF’s work, which began in 1983 when the organization was founded by then Superintendent of Public Instruction, Carolyn Warner.

Nelson's appointment to the AEF Board is for a two-year term.
