Register now for AEF’s free workshop, STEM in the Early Childhood Classroom, on July 17, 2023!


Are you interested in learning more about how STEM impacts our youngest learners? Register now for AEF’s free “STEM in the Early Childhood Classroom” workshop, on Monday, July 17th, from 9:30am–2:30pm, at Valley of the Sun United Way in Phoenix. Led by Arizona Teachers of the Year and Early Childhood Educators, participants will learn strategies for integrating STEM into early learning environments, including working with Special Education students.


This session is open to nonprofits, preschools, and individual educators. For nonprofits and preschools, a maximum of 2 individuals per organization may attend. The workshop is free; lunch and resources will be provided.


Registration is limited to the first 65 people who attend. Please note this is an in-person workshop only and registration is required. Attire is business casual as activities will be interactive.

  • 9:30am-10:00am Defining STEM/Jobs of the Future

  • 10:00am-11:15am Reaching Early Childhood Special Education Learners Through STEM

  • 11:15am-12:00pm Lunch (Participants will be provided lunch.)

  • 12:00pm-2:15pm Practical Application: STEM Lesson Ideas and Strategies for Early Learners

STEM in the Early Childhood Classroom is a component of the Arizona Educational Foundation’s teachSTEM program which provides skills-based STEM training to educators and STEM learning opportunities for students.
