A+ School of Excellence Archive

As the A+ site team, we would like to recommend that Porter Elementary receive that A+. So much is happening at Porter to build a culture of success within the school. They truly seek to meet the needs of every learner.

Red Mountain High School is an example of a school with long-standing traditions whose staff are acutely aware of the need for relevancy in education and building and sustaining programming which supports both the students and the adults who work together each day. Even before the pandemic, Red Mountain has expanded its approach to working with students on all levels of the achievement spectrum, providing opportunities for both credit recovery and advancement through the entirety of their academic program. Their balance of academic rigor against a focus on PBIS allows for the staff to build and sustain relationships across the entire school. Finally, the students are kind, courteous, intelligent, and caring individuals who are to products of both the families and educators who influence them every day, and who in turn influence the adults to be better each day. It is the committee's pleasure to recommend Red Mountain High School to receive the A+ Award of Excellence from the Arizona Education Foundation.
